INDIGENOUS LITERATURE IN PERSPECTIVE
RELATIONS BETWEEN LINGUISTIC POLICY AND LITERATURE EDUCATION
Abstract
This case report is a description of a qualitative research inscribed on the research-participant axis, which aims to promote the understanding of new conceptions about the indigenous language and culture as a way of giving visibility to the indigenous scriptures and themes within the schools and in non-indigenous environments. In order to reach this goal, the moment of reading in the library was used as a moment of linguistic and cultural reflection based on literary works that approach and center the indigenous theme in its production. Through inquiries and the study of short Indian children's narratives, students were able to contact other notions and other perspectives on the cultural and linguistic formation of the country. Based on the discussion of linguistic policies and literature teaching, the study combines the two theoretical fields in order to potentiate the effects of this action, evidencing the idea of linguistic intervention through literature teaching.
