ONDE ESTÃO OS DADOS SOBRE GÊNERO NOS TRANSPORTES PÚBLICOS? UMA ANÁLISE DAS BASES DE DADOS.
Abstract
A análise dos impactos das questões de gênero no uso do transporte público tem se tornado cada vez mais frequente e essencial para compreender os padrões de deslocamento das mulheres nas cidades. Este estudo tem como objetivo avaliar as bases de dados utilizadas em pesquisas que relacionam gênero e transporte público, bem como analisar a autoria desses estudos e sua distribuição geográfica. A distinção entre bases de dados primárias e secundárias permite identificar quais informações sobre gênero estão disponíveis em pesquisas sobre transporte e quais ainda precisam ser geradas para possibilitar novas análises. Os resultados indicam que a maioria dos estudos opta pelo uso de dados primários, em detrimento dos secundários provenientes de pesquisas nacionais e locais. Do ponto de vista geográfico, a Índia se destaca no cenário asiático pela quantidade de estudos realizados, enquanto os demais continentes, com exceção da Oceania, também estão representados. Em relação à autoria, mais de 80% dos trabalhos contam com a participação de mulheres, porém apenas 23% são produzidos exclusivamente por grupos de pesquisadoras.
