GENEALOGY OF THE CRECHE TIA BIRA: zone of internal prostitution and disciplinarization of childhood

Abstract:

The article presents results of a research on the historical trajectory of the Tia Bira Daycare Center and analyzes the relations of knowing power under the genealogical perspective of Michel Foucault. The theoretical basis allowed us to broaden our view of history through several records of the memories of those who participated in the institutionalization process of the day care center. In the course of our studies, we have identified that power and knowledge relations are present in the form of micro-powers. In order to understand the trajectory of assisted child disciplinary care and the identity of the Tia Bira Day Care Center, we investigated the situations that contributed to highlight its existence and its maintenance, perceiving in the simple and common details the evidence of the constitution of useful individuals who were subject to the practices developed and others who rebelled against the power exercised by adults. The importance of genealogy is to allow readers to form the narrative about space and subject that compose part of this story started in a humble house in the Zona de meretrício, whose existence reverberated in the reconstruction of the history of the city.

Marina Patrício Arruda, MPA, UNIPLAC

Graduada em ciências Sociais, mestre e doutora em Serviço Social pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul(2003). Pós-doutora em Educação (PUCRS/2012). Atualmente é professora e pesquisadora nos Programas de Pos-graduação em Educação (PPGE) e em Ambiente e Saúde (PPGAS) da Universidade do Planalto Catarinense (UNIPLAC) É Líder do Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Educação, Saúde e Qualidade de Vida - GEPESVIDA- que tem como objetivo contribuir com a formação do educador no sentido de promover reflexões baseadas no desenvolvimento da teoria da complexidade ou, ainda, teoria da auto-organização, na perspectiva do resgate do ser de inteireza. 

Mary Isolete Silva Duarte Berteli, MISDB, UNIPLAC

É professora na Educação Infantil da rede municipal de ensino de Lages, SC. Possui aduação em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade do Planalto Catarinense (1989). Possui Especialização em Pré-Escola e Alfabetização (1995),  Especialização em Gestão da Escola Pública (1996-1997) e mestrado em Educação pela Universidade do Planalto Catarinense (2016)
