Abstract
Abstract: The subject of this article is the teaching material about oral genre on the Basic Education. We aim to analyze a chapter of a Portuguese Language textbook about the oral genre "debate". Besides that, we also aim to evaluate the quality of this chapter, as well as the specificities, which can involve an efficient application in teaching situations. We base, theoretically, on Socio-interactionism, Vygotsky (1991), and on genebrin perspective of textual genres, Dolz e Schneuwly (2004). Methodologically, we adopt the qualitative method of inductive character. The results reveal that the three teaching proposals of the debate found on the corpus are spiral in nature because exploring similar, but more complex phases in each approach. In addition, we highlight to work with both the textbook and teaching of the oral language.
Keywords: Interaction; public oral genres; debate; textbook; Portuguese language teaching.
