DISCURSO E PODER: UMA ANÁLISE DAS ESTRATÉGIAS LINGUÍSTICAS E DISCURSIVAS NO POLÊMICO DEBATE SOBRE A LEI DE COTAS

Abstract

This paper will show the results of the research “Speech and Power: a look about of the affirmatives actions at the UEPG in 2013”, which analyzing the Resolution UNIV no 17 09^th, December 2013, which regularizes the current racial quotas at the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG). Thus, it will be outlined the analysis of the audio transcription of the Conference of Education, Research and Extension and the College which happened at the UEPG in by the end of 2013, the methodology applied was theoretical analyses of the Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), because in general, the main aim of this study is based in analyzing the speeches and directions which followed in the current resolution quota law at the UEPG. In our conclusions we certifying that the motion current resolution quota law at the UEPG was showed in the first College Conference, but this motion resolution was not included in the voting at the first conference, this inflicted an annulment quota system for blacks at the UEPG. Therefore, the academic community together with some social groups realized manifestations against the decision of the UEPG College Conference and them started a new debate.
