LITERATURA INFANTIL ACESSÍVEL: RELATO DA CRIAÇÃO DE UM LIVRO MULTIFORMATO COM COMUNICAÇÃO AUMENTATIVA E ALTERNATIVA

Abstract

This article presents an experience report on the creation of the accessible children's book O Dia Mágico do Pipo, developed for children with Complex Communication Needs (CCN), integrating resources of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). The material was structured as a multi-format book, featuring simple writing, pictographic symbols, enlarged uppercase text, images with accessible design, customized communication boards on each page, and QR Codes with guidance on how to use them. The book’s narrative and graphic organization supports strategies such as modeling, scaffolding, and graduated support, promoting the child’s active participation during reading. The final product represents an innovative contribution to accessible children's literature by expanding access and participation of children with CCN in educational, therapeutic, and family contexts.
