NATUREZA E FREQUÊNCIA DE CONFLITOS NOS CONTEXTOS ESCOLARES
Abstract
Abstract: This paper presents part of the results of a research project which aims mainly to verify and compare the nature and frequency of conflicts that take place in school environment. Inherent to the diverse human nature, conflicts can become great opportunities to personal and social change and growth, on the other hand, they can also initiate diverse violence occurrences. This is a basic qualitative research, exploratory and descriptive, using a transversal time frame and longitudinal perspective. The data was gathered through document analysis regarding reports about conflicts in all classes of a public Elementary School, de 1st to 9th grades, in the city of Palmas - TO, during the 2016 school year. In order to analyze data, we adopted Content Analysis. Amongst the may occurrences are: physical aggression among students, students do not do their classwork, over occurrence of distraction talks during the lectures, students that do not bring their school material for class, bad jokes and learning difficulties.
