JAZZÍSTICA CIDADE DOS HOMENS
Abstract
In the last days of the year 2000, appeared for the first time in the Brazilian television the characters Acerola and Laranjinha. Palace II, the story that showed these two characters to the Brazilians spectators, went on air at Globo on December 28. Many of the elements that structured the story told on Palace II also ground the plots developed in four season of the series Cidade dos homens, aired by the broadcaster between 2002 and 2005. This article proposes an investigation on some of the mechanisms through which it makes visible the conciliation between the constant presence of a recognizable aesthetic standard and the specific authorial marks left by the different professional that takes turns between direction and scriptwriting of the episodes.
