FOCUS AND SCOPUS
Agri-Environmental Sciences (AGRIES), edited by the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies of the State University of Tocantins was initially known as AgroAmbiental journal. It is a free Brazilian journal, which had its first volume published in 2006. The journal was initially designed to broaden the dissemination of studies conducted in the Cerrado Tocantinense and has ever since been able to reach a wide and diverse audience, presenting relevant scientific contribution to the North region/Brazil.
The mission of AGRIES is to disseminate and to socialize the scientific production of professors and researchers working in the major areas of Agriculture Sciences and Biodiversity.
The journal aims to publish original and unpublished articles, scientific notes and literature reviews (by invitation), written in Portuguese or English. The areas covered by the journal are: Agronomy, Biodiversity, Veterinary Medicine, Forest Resources and Forest Engineering, Animal Science and Fishery Resources and areas related to Animal and Vegetable Production.
There are NO FEES FOR SUBMISSION AND PUBLICATION in the journal. However, there is a charge fee for registering DOI (Direct Object Identifier).

Agri-Environmental Sciences is indexed in the following data base: Diadorim, Sumarios.org, Google Scholar, Livre (Periódicos de Livre Acesso), CrossRef Search, AGROBASE and DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) databases.
Frequency
Agri-Environmental Sciences (AGRIES) became a continuous publication in november 2019. This means that as soon an article is ready to be published it will be immediately released on line in a volume that will be open throughout the year. The goal is to fasten the process of communication and socialization of research, resulting in a faster access to the final version of the article to readers.
Open access policy
Papers published in this journal are open access; they should be freely shared as long as the source and its authors are cited appropriately, with a view to preserving copyright and intellectual property. The works published in the journal will be simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY-NC-ND), allowing the sharing of the manuscript with acknowledgment of the authorship of the work and the initial publication in this journal.
Archiving
This journal uses the LOCKSS system to create a distributed file system among participating libraries. This allows them to create permanent journal archives for preservation and restoration. Besides using LOCKSS article published in the journal also have DOI (Direct Object Identifier), a number which allows the article to be identified in the wide internet.
