REPENSANDO A INOVAÇÃO EM EDUCAÇÃO SOB UMA PERSPECTIVA TRANSCULTURAL: O PAPEL DESEMPENHADO PELAS TECNOLOGIAS DIGITAIS DE INFORMAÇÃO E COMUNICAÇÃO (TDIC) NA MUDANÇA PEDAGÓGICA
Resumo
Contemporary challenges for education, caused by changes in economy, society, health or the recent COVID-19 pandemic, force educators to seek innovative pedagogical practices, design new activities, look for cutting-edge tools or rework already existing classroom patterns. While such practice-driven actions are praiseworthy, more systematic and in-depth reflection is needed on how to conceptualise innovation in pedagogy, as well as how to implement change in teacher education programs. Since there is a clear connection between culture and a way of learning and teaching, cross-cultural analysis of research regarding innovation in education and technology role in this dimension is likely to display diverse ways of viewing, designing, evaluating and implementing innovation. The aim of the paper is to bring numerous perspectives on pedagogical innovation from different cultures to arrive at a uniformed interpretation of what innovation in education is, what dimensions it is related to, why it is needed and how it is accepted by teachers.
