Phosphorus has a great capacity to be adsorbed in the soil and for this reason it is necessary to carry out efficient management techniques in the areas of production systems. Thus, this work aimed to verify the behavior of different doses of Phosphorus in Petric Concretionary Plyntosols with different amounts of petroplinthites and to correlate the agronomic characters of the corn crop. The design was completely randomized DIC, in a 4x2 factorial scheme, with three replications. As treatment, P doses (100, 150, 200 and 300 mg kg-1 of soil) and percentage of gravel (40 and 70%) were evaluated. Plant height, stem diameter, first ear insertion, ear length, ear diameter, ear mass, number of rows of grains per ear, number of grains per row and mass of grains were determined. The amounts of petroplinthite affected ear length, grain mass per ear and ear mass. P doses did not influence plant development, only ear length. It can be concluded that doses higher than 200 mg kg-1 of P soil provide greater ear length and soils with 40% gravel had greater ear development and greater grain mass.
