The analysis of the yield parameter of cassava cultivars is essential for future recommendations of genotypes for a region. Therefore, the objective of this study was to evaluate the cassava cultivars’ agronomic characteristics for two years. Two experiments were installed in a randomized block design with four replications. The treatments were six cassava cultivars (Jaibara, Emburana, Mucuruna, Najá, Roxinha and
Sutinga). The experiments were conducted in the experimental area of the Federal University of Tocantins,
located in the city of Gurupi – Tocantins, in the years 2019 and 2020. The soil at the experiment site is
classified as Dystrophic Yellow Latosol. The characteristics evaluated were length and diameter of roots, fresh
mass of shoots, starch content, harvest index, and commercial root yield. We conclude that Emburana and
Mucuruna cultivars were the most productive in the two consecutive years. The evaluations of the agronomic
characteristics of cassava are influenced by the environment.
